Extended Care

Longer term, intensive treatment programs have become available as complementary programs to the initial residential treatment plan that many centers offer. At Miracle by the Bay, our extended care plan gives individuals many options when it comes to how and for how long they want to continue the treatment process. Many alcoholics and addicts feel strong about their recovery when they leave a residential program, but find that fighting temptations and urges is a little harder than they thought it would be.

Extended Care is an additional phase (usually after the initial intensive Primary Treatment phase) that is often included in a treatment plan in order to offer a continued support system that is still extremely structured and treatment oriented. Quality Primary Treatment provides different helpful techniques to stay away from relapse such as group and individual therapy, as well as proven techniques and adjunctive therapies to aid in the recovery process such as Hypnotherapy, EFT, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Meditation, Yoga, Daily Exercise, etc. In our Extended Care phase you can continue with these therapies to a somewhat lesser degree while learning some additional relapse prevention and giving yourself the much needed time to remain in a stable, sober environment.

Many highly reputable addiction treatment centers refer their clients to Miracle by the Bay for our Extended Care and Sober Living programs for this essential additional support. The research is clear that the longer an alcoholic or addict remains in treatment, especially someone prone to chronic relapse, the better the outcome and the longer the sobriety. Our Extended Care program is committed to your long-term recovery; find out how you can be too!

Our Philosophy

"There are no words that can express how grateful I am for all the help you provided my brother. Thank you for attending to his needs during his time of crisis. The facility, staff and services offered him the support and structure he needed to help him gain a new perspective, self esteem, and a more promising future for his life. "
