FAQ

What is the cost of your program and why?

We offer premier accommodations and the highest quality treatment at extremely affordable prices!

First the Why:

Miracle by the Bay is an upscale recovery home that offers magnificent ocean views on a tranquil & serene gated estate in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. We provide the ultimate in exclusivity, luxury, privacy, confidentiality, and personal attention for the high profile, executive, celebrity, or professional client in recovery. But unlike most other executive sober living or upscale treatment centers, we also offer the very highest quality of care by providing a far greater number of individual sessions per month than anyone we know of! In addition, all of our amenities, activities, meals, and some transportation are included even in our sober living program. For a more detailed description of our programs and to find out how we will customize a treatment plan for you or your loved one, please call Jessica or Ali at 866-538-8153.

Now for the What:

We offer this full spectrum of addiction treatment and recovery services in our All-Inclusive program for only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost of many other comparable treatment centers! In addition, we customize each client’s treatment recovery plan, so whether cost is an issue for you or not, this allows us to price your program to reflect any additional treatment, ancillary services, and personal attention you will receive or choose not to receive. Discounted rates are also available for our clients who wish to stay longer than three months. We know that you will find that our cost is extremely reasonable compared with other facilities of our caliber. In addition, we now offer a financing program that can dramatically reduce the upfront cost for treatment. We also offer additional services not included in the cost of our programs such as detoxification, intervention, additional transportation for sober living clients, etc. The cost of these services varies and we would be happy to provide you with more information about any of our services or programs. Simply call us at 866-538-8153 or Contact Us through the website. We are here for you 24 hours a day.

Do you require a deposit to hold my space in your program?

Yes, a deposit is recommended and is necessary to hold your bed in our facility. We will give you a courtesy call if you have expressed interest and beds are either filling up quickly or one opens up, however there is no guarantee. A $5,000 deposit is required to hold your space in any of our recovery programs.

What forms of payment do you accept and do you have payment plans?

Miracle by the Bay has several options for payment including certified cashier’s check or money order as well as these major credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We are also excited to be able to offer you payment plans through healthcare financing programs! Call us day or night at 866-538-8153 to learn more and see if you or a loved one qualifies. It is often easier than you think, even with less than perfect credit. If you feel the cost is what is preventing you or your loved one from being treated at our facility, please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime with any financial concerns. We have several creative options available and we will do our best to customize treatment to better work with you and your budget.

Do you accept insurance?

We are happy to provide you with a bill for your insurance as a courtesy, but we do not accept direct payment from insurance companies. Instead, the client or responsible party may be reimbursed if benefits allow. We highly recommend calling your insurance to receive prior authorization whenever possible since many insurance are now requiring this. We will be happy to assist you in any way that we can. Please contact us today.

What other services do you offer besides inpatient residential treatment?

Miracle by the Bay is an upscale recovery residence that offers our clients a full of spectrum of drug and alcohol treatments and other services including referral services, interventions, detox services, extended care and sober living options. We offer confidential consultations for people interested in finding out more about getting into recovery. We are also able to provide companion & transportation services to our facility as well as sober coaching during and after treatment and sober living. In addition to the traditional chemical dependency track that many treatment centers offer, we also specialize in alleviating symptoms of many co-occurring disorders or issues including depression, anxiety, trauma (including PTSD-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), chronic pain & prescription drug dependency, eating disorders, bi-polar and other mood/emotional disorder, and more. Please feel free to browse our website and give us a call so that we can provide you with an even more comprehensive list of treatment services.

Do the residents have chores?

We do not ask clients to do menial chores or other demeaning tasks that we do not feel are conducive to their already difficult journey. We do however believe self-discipline and a sense of accomplishment are empowering and essential aspects of recovery. Our approach towards client duties strives to achieve a balance between maintaining dignity and respect for each individual’s needs and desires during their recovery process and the need to be respectful and even of service to others which often times requires stepping out of one’s comfort zone. So to foster this spirit of respect and sense of accomplishment, we do assign some common daily & weekly household responsibilities that include such duties as setting and/or clearing the table, loading and unloading the dishwasher, maintaining tidiness in common areas, sweeping the porch and decks, etc. Clients are also responsible to maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout their personal spaces at all times including bedrooms and bathrooms. Please note: The heavy overall household cleaning/maintenance is NOT done by the clients but by Miracle Staff and outside services.

What kind of aftercare options do you have?

We have a variety of aftercare options that fall into our extended & transitional care programs. Once the initial period of residential treatment is completed, often individuals desire support during the transitional process from rehabilitation back to real life. We offer extended & transitional rehabilitation that can range from a few months up to a year or more depending on the desires and needs of the client. We recommend our sober living environment to many clients starting out in recovery so that they have a safe place to practice new, healthy habits. Sober living environments are also very effective support systems and help promote long-term recovery. Once a client leaves our program altogether, we advocate the use of 12-step meetings and alternative programs as places where clients can find support and build clean and sober relationships. Our staff personally helps each client develop their own recovery and relapse prevention plan which includes help with the coordination of any recommended services in the client’s home area. We also follow up with clients by telephone each week for a set period of time as determined by the individual’s aftercare plan.

Does a person have to want to get clean or sober to go to your treatment center?

It is ideal if the individual has a desire to stop drinking and using when entering our center, however it is not a requirement. Many people that have “hit their bottom” with drinking or drugs find it easier to get and stay in recovery because they have seen the destructive paths that their lives have taken, however individuals that are not quite at that point also benefit immensely from treatment. Miracle by the Bay uses the services of intervention specialists that are extremely successful in helping to convince individuals that it is time to get help. These professionally trained interventionists work with family members and friends to create a compassionate intervention in which the final outcome is the individual agreeing to attend treatment.

Can I have visitors?

Yes, visitors are allowed during certain hours and depend on the client’s individual circumstances and treatment plan. Normally visiting hours are on weekends, but occasionally exceptions are made. We strongly encourage family involvement as an integral part of recovery and provide opportunities within the context of treatment as much as possible. Family meals, groups, events, or activities are held nearly every weekend to help develop further opportunities for families to spend time together.

What type of activities and amenities do you offer?

Miracle by the Bay is located just a few miles from the beach in beautiful, sunny Southern California in the beautiful seaside city of Carlsbad just 30 minutes north of San Diego and 30 minutes south of Orange County. We offer a variety of on-site and off-site extracurricular activities including golf, surfing, swimming, tennis, and outings to beaches and other desirable locations & cultural events. Depending on your particular program, you will also have access to a variety of luxurious amenities and complementary therapies to relax and rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul including art & creative expression therapy, hypnotherapy, guided imagery therapy, daily beach walks, daily exercise at the fitness center, personal training sessions, tai chi, yoga, daily meditation & reflection time, massage therapy & other spa treatments, acupuncture, and more. Clients also attend 12-step or alternative meetings, support groups, family group and other mixer type functions in addition to their regular individual & group therapy sessions.

What is the length of the Miracle by the Bay program?

The usual length of stay at Miracle for primary treatment is thirty, sixty or ninety days depending on the severity of the addiction and the specific desires of each client. We also offer continued aftercare through our outpatient treatment, extended & transitional care, and sober living programs that are available in any length of time depending on the needs of each individual.

What type of addictions are you able to treat?

We are able to treat addictions to all drugs and alcohol as well as other substances such as nicotine and caffeine. We offer individual treatment tracks for prescription drug addiction (opiates, benzodiazepines, etc), street drug addiction (amphetamines, cocaine, heroin, crack, marijuana, etc) as well as tracks for Compulsive Gambling and Eating Disorders. We offer a full spectrum of treatment services including interventions, detox services, transportation, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, sober living, and aftercare. We offer a dual diagnosis treatment program and are able to help clients suffering from addictions and mental illness. During the intake process and medical evaluation, it will be determined if the client needs psychiatric and/or psychological evaluation to determine if any intensive mental health treatment will be needed.
