Our Philosophy
Miracle by the Bay understands that substance abuse, addiction, and other compulsive behaviors are contributed to by an underlying diagnosis that often goes unaddressed. The feelings of depression, anxiety, and unresolved trauma are often self-medicated with drugs and alcohol. We deal with BOTH the addiction and the co-occurring issues. This combination of treatments helps prevent relapse and leads to the long-term happiness and recovery you desire and deserve.
Miracle by the Bay was created in order to provide excellent, compassionate recovery services to those suffering from the burden of drug addiction and alcoholism. Not only do we provide therapeutic treatment services for substance abuse and chemical dependency, but we also have the capacity to provide dual diagnosis care for co-occurring illnesses and other issues that face our clients. Our goal is to assist you or your loved one in achieving the goal of sustained long-term recovery, with happiness and the joy of living as a priority. We understand that there are countless treatment programs available but we have set a goal that we continue to achieve of offering outstanding care in addiction medicine with high success rates and happy clients. We have dedicated ourselves to helping people get sober and stay sober through our customized treatment tracks and numerous extended care options.
Although drugs and alcohol seem to be the biggest problem that an individual is dealing with, the real problems go much deeper. Our clients learn about their destructive patterns and are asked to honestly reflect and uncover the underlying problems that have fueled their addictions. By understanding these issues, they will feel as though a blanket has been lifted from their eyes and the deep-seated pain and fear will begin to be resolved.
While we (and numerous others) have been successful in utilizing the principles found in the literature and support system of 12-step programs, we also recognize that everyone deserves the best possible chance at recovery including those (who for whatever reason) are opposed to the 12-step program. For that reason, though we still promote the use of 12-step materials in our treatment programs and encourage many of our clients to attend meetings and engage in a 12-step community, we also offer alternatives to 12-step programs including facilitating our clients’ attendance at alternative support groups. We also offer the option to attend either 12-step based individual & group therapy sessions or Alternative to 12-step sessions for both individual & group sessions. Our philosophy of reaching out to as many people in need as possible can be seen in the diversity of treatment plans in our residential program, as well as extended care and sober living options that include these principles.
We do not believe in breaking down a person’s character but rather want to build a strong foundation based on self-love and honest reflection. Drugs and alcohol no longer have to be a reason to live. Contact us at Miracle by the Bay today and take your first step to having a new life.
